UK Malayalees' favourite dance teacher Chitra Lakshmi ties knot with Malayalam film star Shankar

LONDON March 2: UK Malayalees' favourite dance teacher Chitra Lakshmi, who is one of the most popular in the dance scene in Malayalee community in the UK, has tied the knot with Malayalam film star Shankar.
 
The marriage, which was kept on a low note, was held in the presence of close relatives from both sides at Guruvayur recently.
 
Chithra, originally from Ottapalam in Kerala, has been a resident in the UK for several years and has been the backbone of several dance events held by Malayalee organisations across the UK. 
 
Chithra has choreographed several dance programmes for Malayalam films, high profile events, both in the UK and in India and is an accomplished dancer. Chitra is at present choreographing for the new and upcoming Malayalam film 'Manal Nagaram', directed by Shankar.
 
Both Chitra and Shankar are divorcees from their earlier marriage.
 
Shankar Panikkar, popularly known as Shankar  was one of the prominent lead actors of Malayalam cinema during the 1980s. At present he is directing the film titled 'Manal Nagaram' in the UAE.
