Mohanlal in more troubel for violating for holding ivory tusks
KOCHI July 18: Mohanlal is already in the news for allegedly storing ivory tusks at his house. And now, forest officials have told a court in Kerala that the actor, from whose house ivory tusks were seized in Income tax raids in 2010, had violated the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
The Divisional Forest Officer in an affidavit before the First Class Magistrate's court at Malayattoor submitted that the actor did not have certificate of ownership of the ivory seized from his house.
Forest officials had registered a case against Mohanlal, P N Krishnakumar and N Krishnakumar. P N Krishnakumar and N Krishnakumar stated they had obtained permission from the wildlife authority for possession of the ivory which was handed over to the actor for safe custody.
