Sunil has been the chief chef at the Indigo Hotel based at Milton Road for the last 13 years and has been staying at the staff accommodation.
According to friends Sunil told them in the morning that he was feeling uncomfortable but as there were no major problems no one took it seriously. Sunil returned to his room afer work at around 11.30pm and he returned back to the hotel at 3am in the morning.
As the other staff did not see him for a while they looked for him and found him lying unconscioous in the toilet. The staff called the ambulance but Sunil has already passed away.
Sunil's family consisting of wife Vijitha and daughter Shreya are residing in Thiruvananthapuram.
Sunil's body, which is kept at the Royal Infirmary will be taken back to Kerala after all the formalities are finished here.
